



The San Rafael Pacifics host the Dublin Leprechauns on Friday, looking to avenge Tuesday’s 7-6 road loss that snapped 10-game winning streak. Dublin rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game, then scored the winning run in the 10th inning on an RBI single by Damone Hale.
The Pacifics (21-7) hold a 5 1/2 game lead over second-place Bakersfield in the Pecos League’s Pacific Division.
• The Oakland Ballers rolled past the host Boise Hawks, 17-7, on Wednesday. Former San Rafael Pacifics star Esai Santos hit a two-run double to spark a seven-run fourth inning for the Ballers (22-10). The Ballers, who continue their six-game series in Boise through Sunday, are one game behind the Missoula PaddleHeads (23-9) for the lead in the Pioneer League.
Golf
San Rafael’s Ryan Herbst tied for 11th in Thursday’s NCGA Amateur Stroke Play qualifier at Corica Park in Alameda. Herbst fired a 2-over 74 to make the cut. Greenbrae’s Joshua Ault was one stroke behind Herbst to earn a spot as the third alternate.
• Mill Valley’s George Veh shot a 4-under 68 at Yocha-De-He Golf Course at Cache Creek on Wednesday to tie for second in NCGA Senior Series play. Veh was tied with three other golfers behind Vacaville’s Brian Speirs, who won with a 8-under 64. Novato’s Joe Castellano tied for 10th at 2-under 70.
• San Rafael’s Ken Breuner tied for 18th in the 61st NCGA Senior Net Championship with a two-round 10-over 152 at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach on Tuesday. Breuner opened play Tuesday with a 77, then shaved two strokes off that score in the final round.
Basketball
The Branson School is hosting a summer basketball camp for middle school girls of all skill levels in grades 6-8. The camp, directed by incoming Branson head coach Kayden Korst, is scheduled for July 7-10, from 9 am to 3 p.m. The fee is $370. For more information, email summer_session@branson.org.
