Noah Magana had two hits, one RBI, and scored a run for the Sharks. Nash Horton had a hit and scored twice. Frankie Ortiz doubled and scored a run.
Cole McGillicuddy had a hit and two RBI for the Mariners. Samuel Garcia and Dom Castillo each had a hit and run scored.
Winning pitcher Evan Dyer struck out eight batters, walked six, and gave up two hits, three runs, two earned, over six innings.
St. Francis (4-3, 1-2) plays at Soledad (3-3, 1-2) on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Sobrato 8, at Monte Vista Christian 6 >> Senior Carter Wright had two hits, including a home run, three RBI, two stolen bases, and scored twice, but the Mustangs suffered their first loss Wednesday.
Sophomore Mikie Melenudo had three hits, two stolen bases, and scored twice for the Mustangs (7-1). Senior Brady Cortez doubled, had two RBI, and scored a run. Senior Tyson Shaw had two hits, including a double, and scored a run.
Hunter Rubbo had three hits, two RBI, and scored twice for the Bulldogs (4-2).
MVC hosts Scotts Valley (3-4) on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Wilcox 8, at SLV 3 >> Senior Jaden Shabry double twice and scored twice in the Cougars’ nonleague loss Wednesday.
The Cougars had six hits, drew nine walks, and stranded 11 runners on base.
Sophomore Larrabee Mitchell had two hits, including a triple, one RBI, and a run scored for SLV. Senior Phil Nattrass and junior Porter Boyd each had a hit and RBI.
SLV (1-4) hosts Soquel (8-0) on Friday at 4 p.m.

Harbor 3, at Mount Madonna 0 >> Sophomore JJ Laughlin had 12 kills and two aces, and the unbeaten Pirates earned a 25-16, 25-17, 25-23 sweep in their SCCAL match Wednesday.
Junior Josh Rejfir had four aces and five kills, and senior Abe Schmidt made 14 digs. Sophomore Eddie Weaver had 33 assists and nine digs.
Harbor (10-0) plays at SLV on Thursday at 7 p.m.

At Pajaro Valley 8, Seaside 7 >> Elena Barron had three hits, including a triple, three RBI, and scored twice in the Grizzlies’ win Wednesday.
Nate Carbajal had three hits and scored three runs for the Grizzlies. Jaqueline Alvarez Zavala had three hits, one RBI, and a run scored. Hemeria Delatorre had two hits, including a double, one RBI, and a run scored. Hailey Erskine had a hit and two RBI.
Delatorre struck out 10 batters and earned the complete-game win.
Pajaro Valley hosts St. Francis on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
At Saratoga 2, SLV 1 >> The Cougars finished with four hits in their narrow nonleague loss Wednesday.
Sydney Riera had two hits and on RBI for the Falcons (4-1).

Girls lacrosse
Scotts Valley 16, at Monte Vista Christian 3 >> Sofia Niklaus had seven goals, 17 draw possessions, and nine draw controls in the Falcons’ win Wednesday.
Dillon Fiorita had five goals, two assists, and two draw controls for the Falcons. Skylar Dufour had two goals, four assists, and seven draw controls.
Erin Szymanski and Serena Sanford-Brantley each scored a goal.
Goalie Lili Raif made two saves for the Falcons.
Boys lacrosse
Santa Cruz 6, at Hollister 2 >> Senior captain Ethan Whitley scored twice, and the Cardinals earned its first win Wednesday.
Sophomore defenseman Asher Chopra went coast to coast for a Cardinals’ goal. Cameron Park, Alejandro Carmona, and Teddy Murphy also scored.
Santa Cruz goalie Caedyn Nelson made 11 saves.
