Michon Louise (Vaught) Ney, passed away on October 15th after living with Alzheimer's disease for six years.
She was born February 4, 1945 to her parents Wanda Davies and John Vaught and raised in Dos Palos. After her father's early death, she moved with her mother and brother John to Palo Alto. Michon graduated from Palo Alto High School after also losing her mother to an early death.
Michon met Richard Ney in San Jose at the age of 18 and they married four months later. They were eager to start a family of their own and were blessed with three sons, three daughters and many foster children. After retirement, Richard and Michon moved to Yosemite Lakes Park, where she enjoyed gardening, book club, Ladies of Lake, and playing cards with friends. Her beloved husband passed away after 41 years of marriage. Following his death, Michon lived in Fresno, Coarsegold, and Oakhurst before finally moving back to San Jose to be closer to her children.
Michon is survived by her children, Cathy Bailey and Mike Ney of San Jose, Bethann Myers of Boulder, CO, Christine McCormick of Dubuque, IA, John Ney of Tulare, and Morgan Ney of Quitman, TX, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Peanut. Family will gather this spring to celebrate Michon's life at the family's property near Mariposa.
