Orland Park police are investigating the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian who apparently exited his car on La Grange Road following an crash, investigators said.

The Will County coroner’s office identified the man as 22-year-old Issa A. Arabi of Oak Lawn, who was pronounced dead early Saturday in the 18000 block of La Grange Road. The office said Arabi was struck by multiple vehicles.

Tinley Park police and fire assisted and closed La Grange Road between Interstate 80 and 183rd Street Friday night.

Orland Park police said they responded after receiving reports at 11:40 p.m. Friday and found the man in the roadway.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking witnesses to the collission, Orland Park police said.

“This is a tragic event, and we are doing everything possible to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for this senseless act,” said police Chief Eric Rossi said in a news release.
