Mill Valley Lola Brown (Saltiel) passed away peacefully December 26, 2022. She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Wanda Saltiel, and her sister Tamara. Lola was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, and immigrated to San Francisco in 1958. She soon met the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, Dennis, at the San Francisco Art Institute.<br>A 60-year resident of Mill Valley, Lola was dedicated to Dennis, sons Ian and Adam, daughters-in-law Juliet Mohit and Nathalie Hesnard, and grandkids Nico, Jasper, Milo, and Opal. She will be remembered by countless elementary school kids in Mill Valley, her students for over more than four decades of teaching. She was a valued school district resource and mentor teacher, especially in the art of skillful writing. A celebration of life memorial will be held Sunday, March 19, 1:00-4:00pm, at the Homestead Valley Community Association, 315 Montford Ave, Mill Valley.<br>In Lola's honor, please consider a donation to Kiddo!, which supports arts education, at kiddo.org (under the endowments link).<br>
