Colorado has landed the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 recruiting class.

On Thursday, On3.com reported that Jordan Seaton, a five-star recruit from IMG Academy in Florida has verbally committed to play for the Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders.

Seaton appeared on Fox Sports’ show “Undisputed” on Thursday morning and revealed his choice, pulling a CU hat out of a bag to announce where he would be playing for the next several years.

“You gotta believe in Coach Prime,” Seaton said on the show. “Having the opportunity to play with somebody who has done it at the highest level, gold jacket level, very few can say they did that. I’ve got two Heisman Trophy candidates — Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. They’re amazing. You know how they go.

“If you ain’t rocking with us and you say you’re a dog, you claim you’re a dog, why are you not coming to Colorado? Why are not helping somebody who looks like you?”

The 247Sports.com composite rankings list Seaton as the top offensive tackle in the class and the No. 15-rated prospect over- all.

Shedeur Sanders was the most sacked quarterback in the country this year, with 52 sacks.

“That will never happen again,” Seaton said on “Undisputed”.

Seaton, listed at 6-foot-5, 287 pounds, has over 30 scholarship offers. Two weeks ago, he posted that he was down to seven schools, including Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Oregon and Tenn- essee.

Twice this week, however, Seaton reposted a graphic on social media that showed he was down to six schools — with CU not included. Ultimately, he decided to go with the Buffs.

Seaton took an official visit to CU in early November.

He is the 10th member of CU’s 2024 high school recruiting class, with national signing day around the corner on Dec. 20.

According to 247Sports, Seaton’s player rating of .994 is the third-highest ever for a CU recruit, behind running backs Darrell Scott (.998 in 2008) and Marcus Houston (.998 in 2000).
