Lois Miller passed away on October 3, 2024, at age 94, from complications after a fall. She was a force of life that will always be with us.
Born on June 25, 1930, in Benton Harbor Michigan, Lois grew up in a loving family of modest means during the darkest years of WWII. She excelled during high school to graduate early, receiving a full scholarship to the University of Michigan.
Living in a girls' business school sorority, dating, and cheering for the University of Michigan's football games were some of her most memorable years. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Business Administration, she worked in the accounting department for Whirlpool Corporation for many years.
Lois was lovingly dedicated to her husband, William C. Miller, for 63 years of marriage and a devoted mother to 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren.
She was well-known in Boulder as a Deacon at Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church, active in the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) to mentor and raise scholarships for young women, and a long career as a bookkeeper with ophthalmologists William Gibson, William Roberts, and Marilyn Dougherty.
A memorial service will commence on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 3700 Baseline Road, Boulder, Colorado.
