Farmington schools have named new leaders at two elementary schools.
Jennifer DiBella will be the next principal of Longacre Elementary School. She replaces Rhonda Henry, who was promoted to assistant superintendent of innovation and strategic initiatives.
DiBella will begin in her new position on July 1.
DiBella has been teaching second grade at Longacre since 2018. She also worked at Highmeadow Common Campus, Warner Middle School, and served as an instructional coach and equity lead in the district.
From 2018-2021, she served as supervisor of Farmington’s summer reading program.
She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in curriculum, instruction, and leadership from Oakland University. She also has a Michigan professional certificate in Grades K-5 all subjects, and Grades K-8 Social Studies.
“I feel very fortunate to have served the greater community of Farmington Public Schools throughout my career,” said DiBella. “Accepting the principalship of Longacre Elementary School is a true privilege, and I look forward to upholding our mission of ‘Everyone Learning, Everyone Leading’ each and every day.”
Laura Koralewski will be the next principal at Gill Elementary School following the retirement of Principal Chris Suliman.
She started her career in the district as a first grade teacher at Wooddale Elementary in 2008 and has worked at Wood Creek, Lanigan, and Gill elementary schools, and has been the Tiered Support Teacher Lead at Gill since 2024.
Since 2022, she has also served as the supervisor for the Incoming Kindergarten Camp.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Michigan State University, an early childhood education endorsement from Madonna University and a master’s degree in instructional technology and e-learning from Saginaw Valley State University.
Koralewski will also start on July 1.
“It is an honor and a privilege to continue serving the incredible staff, students, and families of Gill Elementary in this new role,” said Koralweski. “Gill is truly a special place; a welcoming community where relationships are nurtured, learning is celebrated, and every child is seen and valued. Gill is the place to be!”
