With the basketball season concluded, now is the time to take a look at who some of the best players in Macomb County were this season.

Several excellent players just missed the cut — a testament to the level of girls basketball talent in Macomb County right now.

After the top 10, the list is in no particular order.

1. Anayya Davis, senior, Ford. Davis wraps her career at Ford as one of the best Falcons to ever do it. She led the team in every defensive and offensive category this season, highlighted by her 21.2 PPG.

2. Dania McClain, senior, South Lake. Longtime Lakeview and current Regina head coach Joe Charrette said it best when he dubbed McClain as the best player to come out of South Lake — and one of the best to ever do it in Saint Clair Shores, period.

3. Gracyn Carrier, sophomore, Chippewa Valley. Carrier brought her game to new levels this season, averaging 19 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this season while also tying for the school record for steals in a season with 95.

4. Devyn Raymond, senior, Eisenhower. This season would have looked very different for Ike had Devyn Raymond not been convinced to come out for the team. The senior was the Eagles’ go-to player in just about every facet.

5. DeMaya Asberry, senior, Cousino. Asberry was the battery behind Cousino’s run to the regional championship round with her tenacious defense, creativity on offense and leadership skills.

6. Alaynah Quinn, junior, Fraser. Quinn was one of the most steady and in-command guards in the county all season, handing out nearly five assists per game on a Fraser squad that won the MAC Blue.

7. Emersen Holder, freshman, Regina. Holder’s game evolved throughout the season and that was never more evident than the Saddlelites’ final 12 games of the season when the freshman guard scored 23.5 PPG to help lead them to a district title.

8. Julia Tkaczyk, junior, Anchor Bay. The MAC White MVP was a steady hand for Anchor Bay all season, leading the team in PPG (16.7) while also getting 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

9. Brooklyn Garavaglia, sophomore, Dakota. Garavaglia’s growth into a true point guard and team leader this season was a sight to behold as she brought an inexperienced team along with her through development. And for fans of gritty hoops, she set a new program record with eight charges taken in a season.

10. Keyonna Scorpio, senior, Roseville. The queen of double-doubles had 10 games this season with the accolade. Not only that, she even averaged one with 15.1 points and 10 rebounds per game.

11. Claire Sniesak, Armada.

12. Tyra Wright, Ford.

13. Christina Gibson, senior, South Lake.

14. Kaylynn Millander, senior, Fitzgerald.

15. Hannah Tamou, senior, Stevenson.

16. Tamerah Peterson, senior, Parkway Christian.

17. Janiyah Thomas, sophomore, Center Line.

18. Addison Brown, senior, Warren Mott.

19. Mackenzie Turner, freshman, Eisenhower.

20. MyKenzi Harris, senior, Chippewa Valley.
