Elton John didn’t hold back when discussing how he feels about the legalization of weed in America and Canada.
This was apparent when John, who was selected as Time magazine’s 2024 Icon of the Year, spoke with the outlet.
During the interview, he opened up about his past drug use and expressed his strong opposition to the legalization of weed due to his belief that it’s a gateway to harder substances.
“I maintain that it’s addictive. It leads to other drugs,” John said. “And when you’re stoned, and I’ve been stoned, you don’t think normally. Legalizing marijuana in America and Canada is one of the greatest mistakes of all time.”
Adopting a sober lifestyle after being introduced to cocaine in the mid-’70s by his lover-turned-manager John Reid, the legendary pop star has been clean since 1990 and has helped several other celebrities with their addictions. He went on to help organize Robin Williams’ first experience at rehab.
michael jackson tapes unearthed in storage unit
Talk about coming across priceless memorabilia.
A stay-at-home dad stumbled upon something he would’ve never imagined finding: the voice of the late King of Pop.
A collection of unreleased Michael Jackson tapes was found by Gregg Musgrove, 56, in a storage unit in the San Fernando Valley.
This all happened when an associate contacted Musgrove about a storage unit he recently purchased in Van Nuys. The unit previously belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and singer.
The tapes have 12 unreleased tracks the “Rock With You” singer worked on between 1989 and 1991, prior to the release of the “Dangerous” album.
“I’ve gone to all the fan sites. Some of them are rumored to exist; some of them have been leaked a little bit,” Musgrove told The Hollywood Reporter. “A couple aren’t even out there in the world.”

Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek are reuniting for a new four-episode run of “Malcolm in the Middle” for Disney+ — 25 years after the beloved sitcom first launched.
The show ran for seven seasons starting in 2000 and was hailed for looking at ordinary life through the eyes of an extraordinary youngster, now fully grown: Malcolm, played by Muniz, who has a genius I.Q.
“I have been waiting for this moment for 18 years. Let’s find out where Malcolm and his family are now,” Muniz said in a video message.
The new episodes will be crafted by original series creator Linwood Boomer. No air dates were announced.
