Prospective college students unsure about their future path and their parents can learn what Macomb Community College has to offer during Discover Macomb, Discover your Future, Feb. 8, 9:30 a.m. — noon.

Discover Macomb will be held in K Building on Macomb’s South Campus in Warren and feature topical breakout sessions, informational tables and campus tours. Those who attend the event will get an overview of Macomb’s program offerings, including how they can connect to workforce opportunities, student success resources and student life activities, including:

• Admissions and Outreach

• Arts and sciences

• Business and Information Technology

• Career Services and other special services

• Engineering and Advanced Technology

• Financial Aid

• Health and Human Services

• Media and Communication Arts

• Public Service Institute

• Veteran and Military Services

The breakout sessions will run approximately 30 minutes and include:

• Counseling and advising resources

• Engineering and Advanced Technology academic programs and related workforce opportunities

• Health careers, including academic and noncredit programs

• In-depth discussion of Media and Communication Arts careers

Participants can attend multiple sessions. Afterwards Macomb staff will offer tours of South Campus starting at 11 a.m. The tour will include Engineering and Advanced Technology, Media and Communication Arts and Dental Hygiene Clinic. There will also be informational tables covering dual enrollment, short-term certificates and student access services. Several Macomb University Center partners will also be available to provide information on completing a bachelor’s degree:

• Central Michigan University

• Ferris State University

• Northwood University

• Walsh College
