Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a woman Tuesday on charges of stealing mail after a contact in the Niwot area, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Sheriff’s deputies found the 31-year-old woman after she apparently passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of the 8300 block of Greenwood Drive, according to the release. They found numerous pieces of mail inside the vehicle that were not addressed to her, according to the release.

Detectives sorted through the mail and returned it to the homes it was addressed to, according to the release.

Bicycles and computer equipment were also found in the vehicle and may have been stolen items as well, the release said.

The woman faces charges of mail theft, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs and unlawful possession of amphetamines, according to the release.
