Touch and go’s

The frequent airport critics are bedeviled by touch and go’s. Now they want to impose landing fees on select aircraft after a monthly quota as a way to punish flight school activity. Three questions for them: Are they willing to sit out there every day at the airport from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and count landings? Where do they live in a relation to the airport, and when did they move there?

Bad streets

Apparently, the world is coming to an end. Why else would the city let the streets deteriorate so badly? Where are our tax dollars for street maintenance going? There are potholes big enough to blow out tires and cause alignment repairs. There are some cracks that are going to cause serious injury to a motorcyclist. Who gets sued when this happens?

Fix the light

I’m standing outside the new pool hall on Fourth and Main. The street light has been blinking for three months now. When is the city going to fix it?

Highest home costs

Colorado, again, leads the nation. Increases in property tax and home insurance rates are being led by Colorado, with the highest increase this year of any state. I’m sure our Democrat-controlled government must be very proud.

Paper quality down

I’m just calling with a concern about the quality of the newsprint in the paper lately. There seems to be a lot of flecks, color flecks, darker flecks, etc., which makes the contrast of trying to read the actual newsprint a little more difficult. And since our subscription price always goes up, it just seems like the quality of the newsprint is going down, so I just wondered if perhaps someone could comment about this issue.

Propaganda

The problem with only allowing people who know what isn’t propaganda to be contributing to the TC Line is that, during COVID, for example, the authorities were wrong an overwhelming amount of the time. So who is listening to the propaganda machine? If you were listening to the government and the Times-Call, you were badly most informed.

More ways to say no

Democrat statements of late lead to one conclusion: More Democrats in government will not bring new ideas for an effective and productive government, only more ways to say no to everything.
