HINCKLEY – Hinckley Police along with Cleveland Metro-Park Rangers, Hinckley, Brunswick, Brunswick Hills, Granger, Sharon, Richfield, Medina and Medina Twp. fire departments battled a large brush fire at Whipps Ledges over the weekend. More than 50 firefighters and the American Red Cross were activated. Approximately 20-30 acres caught fire. Hinckley police reported on Facebook Nov. 19 at 2:33 a.m. that the fire had been contained. The Cleveland Metroparks have made an announcement that Whipp’s Ledges are closed until further notice. The entrance at Top O’ Ledges is closed as well.
