Cleveland Clinic Akron General ranked No. 1 in Summit County
Also ranked No. 10 in Ohio by U.S. News
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is again ranked as the No. 1 hospital in Summit County by U.S. News & World Report, while earning a No. 10 overall ranking in Ohio.
U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals 2017-18” also named Akron General No. 31 nationally in Pulmonology.
For the second year in a row, Cleveland Clinic is ranked as the No. 2 hospital in the nation. It earned the No. 1 ranking in urology and retained its position as the nation’s No. 1 hospital for cardiology and heart surgery for the 23rd successive year.

In compiling its rankings, U.S. News studied objective data, such as risk-adjusted survival, readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety, quality of nursing care and other care-related indicators. According to U.S. News, these rankings recognize hospitals that excel in treating patients who need an especially high level of care.
