Dad, thank you for raising me to be a hardworking person

To the Editor:
I want to send a special heartfelt thank you to my father and all the fathers who did there best to raise their children to work hard and stand for what is right!
My dad worked as a custodian for many years in the public school system. He raised a family of six children on an income that was mediocre at best. He taught us the importance of being honest and hardworking and not expect free handouts from the government and others. He taught us the value of God, the Bible, church, family and marriage for life.
Surely, as I think of this Father's Day, I am blessed beyond measure! Words cannot express the respect I have for my dad! Happy Father's Day, Dad! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the best dad a guy could ever wish for! I will cherish the memories we have made together over the years! Love always!
