Strongsville Police Department
Nov. 10 – A female driving a Ford Focus hit an electrical box in front of her Lauren Way home. The underground electric box was damaged causing an outage in the area. CEI was notified. A fire hydrant was also sheared off. Cleveland Water and the Strongsville Service Department were advised.

Nov. 13 – A 42-year-old male was pounding on the front door and then the man door of the garage at a Deer Ridge Circle house asking for money. The subject was kicked out of the home three weeks ago. Another male and female were in the car belonging to the subject. The son and his friends were advised they if they returned they would be arrested for trespassing. The complainant and her husband were advised on how to obtain a restraining order and eviction notice.
Nov. 13 – A lawnmower was missing from a Country Way yard. The area was checked for scrappers, but none were found.
Nov. 13 – A stray dog was preventing three girls from moving off a Brigadoon Way swing set. An officer contacted the dog’s owner and took the animal to its home.
Nov. 13 – A GMC Terrain hit a pole on Prospect Road causing the vehicle to rollover. A 71-year-old female was trapped, but alert. The occupant sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Nov. 13 – A vehicle drove through a yard on Jacque Road and took out two mailboxes. The vehicle also grazed a telephone pole.
Nov. 13 – A male reported his girlfriend’s daughter took his vehicle without permission. The juvenile, who had drug paraphernalia in her possession, got into an accident in Middleburg Heights with the uninsured vehicle.
Nov. 12 – A male became upset regarding dinner and threw food at his girlfriend, hitting her in the nose and causing it to bleed. The female locked herself in a bedroom and stated she would come out when police arrived. The male subject was returned to the police station.
Nov. 12 – A 39-year-old intoxicated female fell from an escalator at the mall. She was transported to a hospital.
Nov. 12 – A customer at a Pearl Road business was threatening to kill all the employees. An officer returned the subject to the police station.
Nov. 11 – A female stated she was hit by a car outside the main entrance to he mall. The subject refused medical attention, but stated she twisted her lower back. The driver of the vehicle stopped, saw the female on the ground and then sped off.
Nov. 11 – A female thought two teenage males were smoking marijuana because they seemed happy and waved at her when they passed by in a car at the mall. There was no true cause for the complaint.
Nov. 11 – A person at a Whitney Road school advised an 8-year-old male was hitchhiking. A school bus driver saw the child and picked him up. School administration was concerned because this has happened before.
Nov. 11 – The male son of Deer Ridge Circle residents was on the rear deck demanding to be let in the house. The subject had a history with drugs and the parents did not want him there. The subject’s mother stated her son wanted to spend the evening and get a ride to rehab in the morning. An officer transported the subject to the police station lobby where he could spend the night. The parents were to pick up their son in the morning.
Nov. 10 – A Canterbury Drive male received a call from his neighbor, who stated he was arrested for DUI and needed $1,100. The complainant wired $1,400 to a Trenton, N.J. address. The complainant received another call that advised the neighbor got out of jail, but needed $1,200 for other costs. The complainant spoke to his neighbor and realized this was not the person who called him.
Nov. 10 – A Morris Drive male opened a computer virus that demanded $300 or it would shut down. The complainant was advised to contact credit bureaus to flag the account.
Nov. 8 – Two males came to the door of an Ashley Circle home because a 17-year-old male that lived there allegedly owed them money for drugs. The resident’s father stated the juveniles were threatening to his wife. Special attention was placed on the residence.
North Royalton Police
Nov. 10 – A female was reportedly seen by a recess monitor at St. Albert School staggering around near a recess area where children were playing. The female in question was reportedly found in a nearby parking lot trying to unlock vehicles. Kathleen Bright, 34, reportedly slurred something to the officer about being there to support her boyfriend’s children. She was arrested for criminal trespass and told never to come back to the property. An open can of beer was allegedly found in her vehicle nearby. She was also cited for open container.
