Caller complains of teenagers enjoying golf cart, skateboard

Montville Township Police

Nov. 6 – A Fox Meadow Drive resident reported two teenagers were driving a golf cart and pulling another teenager with a rope on a skateboard. Police were unable to locate the juveniles.

Nov. 7 – Police initiated a traffic stop on Medina Road at 10:42 p.m. While speaking with the driver, police could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from the inside the vehicle. A probable cause search reportedly revealed three bags of marijuana with the passenger. The passenger was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and the driver was issued a warning for the traffic violation.

Nov. 7 – A Wadsworth Road resident attempted to dial 411 to get the number for an orthopedic surgeon but accidentally dialed 911. Everything checked OK.

Nov. 6 – An Aberdeen Lane caller reported “clowns running around,” with one at the top of the driveway. Police were not able to locate the alleged clowns.

Nov. 6 – A Triple Crown Drive resident reported someone ringing doorbells and running away. Police were unable to locate anyone after walking the street on foot.

Nov. 6 – Montville police assisted Seville police with a loud party on Center Road in Seville at 12:24 a.m. This was the second time Seville police were dispatched to the location for the same issue. The homeowner was advised and the party was shut down.

Nov. 5 – Someone reported a party was too loud on Lexington Ridge Drive at 11:43 p.m. The radio was turned down.

Nov. 5 – A caller advised she received a call from the number 601-364-1058. The caller stated he worked for a software company and needed the IP address to her computer to fix an error. The complainant told him no, and requested to be placed on the do-not-call list. The call reportedly became belligerent and hung up. Shortly after, she received a second call from the same number and the same person claimed to be with a satellite company. Police verified the call was a scam.

Nov. 2 – Police assisted the fire department with a hay fire on Summerwood Drive. The fire caught in the bed of a landscaping truck and they dumped it in the street to keep from catching the truck on fire.

Medina County Sheriff

Nov. 12 – Between 40 and 50 Xbox games were taken from a family room at a Guilford Road residence in Guilford Township.

Nov. 12 – A column of lottery tickets was taken from a Avon Lake Road business of Harrisville Township.

Nov. 11 – A woman at a Stewart Drive residence in Wadsworth Township reported a male around 3 a.m. had entered her home and when she went down to confront him in the basement, he ran away out the basement door.

Nov. 10 – A female reported her wallet was taken while she was working at a Ridge Road business in Sharon Township between 1:30 and 10:15 p.m.

Nov. 7 – A 53-year-old Wadsworth man was cited for driving on a closed road on West Smith Road west of State Road at 4:08 p.m.

Medina Police

Nov. 16 – Police responded to a deer-related vehicle accident on West Liberty Street at 7:36 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 16 – Police and safety forces responded to a traffic complaint about a Dodge truck on Lafayette Road at 4:56 p.m. The driver, a male juvenile, had reportedly overdosed. He was arrested for OVI. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Nov. 16 – Andrew J. Meyers, 29, of Stryker, Ohio, was arrested on a warrant at a Murray Ridge Drive address at 4:01 p.m.

Nov. 16 – Police responded to a residence on a report of threats. Michael J. Pindor, 18, of Wooster, was arrested for domestic violence and telecommunications harassment.

Nov. 15 – Police investigated a shoplifting incident at a North Court Street business at 3:06 p.m. A female is suspected of taking a purse and other items.

Wadsworth Police Department

Nov. 13 – Personnel from a business in the 200 block of Great Oaks Trail contacted the police department shortly before 9 a.m. to report that a theft had occurred at their business sometime overnight. An investigation is pending.

Nov. 13 – Police officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street at approximately 9:50 p.m. in reference to a report of domestic violence. Following an investigation, police arrested a 36-year-old man who lives at the residence and charged him with domestic violence.

Nov. 12 – A resident from the 200 block of Deepwood Drive contacted the police department to report the theft of a debit card. The matter is under investigation.

Nov. 12 – Police officers responded to a Smokerise Drive retail store at approximately 3:40 p.m. in reference to a report of a shoplifter. After an investigation, Christina Gaines, 33, of Akron, was arrested and charged with theft.

Nov. 12 – Police officers came in contact with Angel Reynolds, 38, in the 100 block of College Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officers arrested her on a warrant.

Nov. 11 – Police officers reported finding several juveniles using marijuana in Durling Park at approximately 6:15 p.m. Charges will be sent to the juvenile prosecutor’s office for review.

Nov. 11 – An individual contacted the police department at approximately 1:15 p.m. to report that his vehicle was damaged while parked outside a business in the 1100 block of High Street.

Nov. 11 – Police officers received a call at approximately 1:20 a.m. in reference to an intoxicated man who fell and struck his head near a Watrusa Avenue bar. Police officers arrived at the scene and cited Jerald Davis, 49, of Tolbert Street, with disorderly conduct.

Nov. 11 – Personnel from a Smokerise Drive retail store contacted the police department at approximately 7:40 p.m. to report a theft. After an investigation, Casey Travis, 23, of Rittman, was issued a summons for theft.

Nov. 11 – Police officers reported to the 300 block of Main Street at approximately 1 p.m. to retrieve some found property.

Nov. 11 – A Wadsworth resident reported he left his wallet inside of a Smokerise Drive retail store the day before and it was stolen sometime afterward. There are no suspects at this time.

Nov. 11 – An individual who was staying at a hotel in the 800 block of High Street reported that his iPhone was stolen.

Nov. 10 – A resident from the 200 block of Baird Avenue reported the misuse of a credit card. The matter is being investigated.

Nov. 10 – A resident from the 200 block of Mills Street went to the police department to report a theft offense that had occurred the previous month. There are no suspects at this time.

Nov. 9 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Sara Black for failure to appear at a sentencing.
