To the Editor:
In reference to the eye-catching spaceship at the entrance to Alien Vacation Mini Golf, what is your problem? Nothing better to pick at?
I would never have thought of it as violating the historic preservation area. I thought of the spaceship as “Wow, that’s cool.” People (visitors) will love it and I’m a senior citizen! It’s not on the Square or in the Square. It’s on the south side of the building! Visitors that I’ve talked with love having their pictures taken by it. This business gives the rest of the Square an economic boost.
Why do a few people have to nit-pick about certificates of appropriateness for something that brings a smile to most everyone else?
If you want to nit-pick, go to Cleveland. It seems that they are experts.
