Medina Township Police
Sept. 9 – A Silver Ridge Trail resident called police at 11:48 p.m. to report her house got toilet-papered by two boys from the neighborhood. The officer spoke with the two boys, who admitted to the toilet-papering. Their step-father told police he would handle the matter. No charges were filed.
Montville Township Police
Aug. 31 – A Highland Green Drive resident reported a solicitor was going door to door without a permit. Police could not locate the solicitor.
Aug. 31 – A Medina Road business owner received a call from someone claiming to be from Ohio Edison, advising they would cut power to the building. The caller reportedly used profanity when the owner told him he was calling the police.
Aug. 31 – Someone on Turnberry Drive reported hearing five gunshots followed by three sets of two shots. Police did not hear any gunshots.
Aug. 31 – Police located a vehicle reported stolen in the parking lot of a Montville Drive business. The vehicle was turned over to the Medina Police Department.
Aug. 30 – A Bear Swamp Road resident called police for advice on dealing with an emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend.
Aug. 30 – A Wooster Pike Road restaurant called police to report a customer was walking around the building being disrespectful to employees and ranting. Police could not locate the customer.
Aug. 30 – Someone reported school-aged children fighting on East Normandy Park Drive. One child allegedly pulled a pairing knife when the other two came at her and threatened to beat her up.
Aug. 27 – Someone called police asking for a welfare check on his kids. He reported he allowed their mother to take them overnight to a Montville Drive hotel and believed she may be under the influence of prescription drugs. Police spoke with the female and reported she was not intoxicated.
Aug. 27 – A suspicious vehicle pulled up to the end of a Cobblefield Drive driveway and stayed for a few minutes before pulling away. Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Medina Township Police
Sept. 12 – A Gladden Place resident called police to report a credit card had been opened in their name. A report was taken for fraud, a third-degree felony.
Sept. 11 – Loss prevention staff at a Pearl Road retail store called police at 4:43 p.m. after two alleged shoplifters were stopped. A juvenile was released into the custody of her parents. Olivia G. Foose, 18, of Lodi, was issued a summons for theft.
Medina County Sheriff’s Office
Sept. 7 – An overdose was reported at a Hartman Road address in Wadsworth Township at 7 p.m. The subject, a 21-year-old man, was found to be awake and breathing when a deputy arrived. As no contraband was found, the man was not cited.
Sept. 6 – A disturbance was reported at a Lafayette Road address in Lafayette Township at 3:48 p.m. Jason Hudson, 29, of Wooster, was arrested and charged with failure to comply and obstructing official business. A bag of meth was also allegedly found.
Sept. 6 – Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Norwalk Road address in Litchfield Township at 9:15 p.m. Jason High, 33, of Litchfield, was arrested for assault.
Sept. 5 – A woman reported her prescription Xanax pills were reported missing from the tent she stays in on a Westfield Road property in Westfield Township.
Sept. 5 – Doors to a barn were ripped apart and entered at a Wooster Pike Road address in Westfield Township. No property was believed to be taken.
Sept. 3 – A traffic stop was conducted in the 7100 block of Center Road in Liverpool Township at 8:11 p.m. The driver, Marlon Johnson, was found to have a suspended license. Crack was allegedly found on both Johnson and passenger, Shemika Ramos, 30, of Lorain. Paraphernalia, including a scale and brass knuckles, were allegedly found in the vehicle. Both were arrested for possession of crack and Johnson was cited for driving under suspension and speed.
Sept. 2 – A possible OVI suspect was seen in the parking lot of a Norwalk Road business in Litchfield Township at 1:53 a.m. A 16-year-old male was arrested for OVI as he was believed to be under the influence of drugs.
Sept. 2 – A driver was believed to be cutting and smoking crack in a trailer at a Lake Road business in Westfield Township. A deputy allegedly found an unknown amount of crack and a pipe. The suspect, Anthony Young, 56, of Cleveland, allegedly admitted to smoking crack. He was released and likely faces a felony drug possession count.
Sept. 1 – A stop was conduced for marked lanes on state Route 57 south of River Styx Road in Guilford Township at 2:02 a.m. The driver, Cody Thoma, 21, of Wadsworth, was arrested for OVI and his vehicle was towed.
Aug. 31 – A suspicious man was spotted on Firestone Road in Spencer Township at 12:45 p.m. The male was found near state Route 162, who ran away and was later caught after being found laying in a corn field. The man, Christopher Doss, 33, of West Salem, allegedly gave a fake name and was later found to have outstanding warrants out of Wayne County. He was charged with obstructing official business and falsification.
Aug. 28 – During an encounter between and two subjects at a business on U.S. 224, a man was allegedly found to possess crack and heroin and the female was allegedly found with heroin, meth and a loaded syringe. Shane Smith, 24, of Wadsworth, and Amanda Howard, 39, of Wadsworth, were both arrested on felony drug charges and tampering with evidence. Howard also had outstanding warrants.
