To the Editor:

As fall moves to winter, and as the trees shed their leaves, I wanted to take the time to say thank you to the city of Strongsville leaf collecting crews. I think I speak for every homeowner in that the annual ritual of raking the leaves is not something to be enjoyed. Traveling throughout the city clearing leaves from thousands of tree lawns has got to be a daunting task, especially when they return home to find their own yards covered in leaves. So maybe next time you see the city crews slowly driving down your street, clearing away Mother Nature’s reminder of the passing of time, take the time to wave and say thanks.
