To the Editor:
Well, it’s been awhile since I chimed in regarding the on-going saga of traffic on Broad and Silver Creek, but with the new school year just around the corner I thought it was time again to voice my concern.
The issue with the dollar store drive and dash is still there. I know that the city has to do the in-depth study to what can be done. I had to stop in that location to pick up a quick item not once but twice in the last few weeks. What I experienced was the traffic entering from Silver Creek does back up so I waited until all of the traffic had entered onto Broad, which is how it should be done. Unlike the lovely patient driver behind me, who continued to blow his horn and yell for me to move. Now, again, this is a private driveway – I had put that in my earlier post some time ago. From my opinion and only that the easiest fix would be one simple sign reading “Yield to oncoming traffic.”
Do not get me wrong, I know there is more to the in-depth study already in place, but come on! Something needs to be done before something tragic happens. Oh yeah, I failed to mention after the traffic was clear, my friend behind me sped around me and waved to me with a lovely jester that has become the norm in our daily drives.
