Two police visits in one night nets two felonies
Medina Police
June 22 – Police responded to a disturbance at a south side residence at 9:15 p.m. and arrested John P. Moore, 26, of the address, for felony domestic violence. Later in the evening, police again reportedly responded to the same address at 10:58 p.m. and recovered a handgun. Police believed the handgun to be stolen. Zackery T. Adamini, 19, also of the address, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

Medina Police
June 26 – Police stopped the driver of a Chevy Cobalt on West Liberty Street at 12:49 a.m. for having a loud stereo. An 18-year-old Medina man was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

June 25 – Police received a report of a male bringing a backpack into a church service on East Washington Street at 6:16 p.m. At one point, the backpack was reportedly left unattended. An officer checked the scene and reported everything was OK.

June 25 – A male was taking coins from the fountain on Public Square at 3:50 p.m. He returned the coins after an officer responded.

June 24 – Police were called after the girlfriend of a husband of 30 years, according to the police report, “had words” with the complainant at 9:53 p.m.

June 24 – Police were called to a North East Street residence 8:20 p.m. for trespassing after some neighborhood kids were reportedly jumping on a trampoline.

June 24 – An intoxicated man was arrested for disorderly conduct at 3:32 p.m. after causing a disturbance on North Court Street.

June 24 – Police received a report of a juvenile female, on probation and house arrest, who had left a Medina Street residence at 3:06 a.m. The girl was located and arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

June 23 – A suspicious letter was sent to city hall inquiring about lost or stolen police equipment. The letter appeared to be intended for another jurisdiction. The sender was advised.

June 23 – A juvenile broke some glass in a Foundry Street parking lot at 4:54 a.m. An officer advised the child to clean it up.

June 22 – Police responded to a suspicious-looking occupied vehicle on West Union Street at 9:01 p.m. An officer reported some males were inside with a hammer and everything was OK.

June 21 – A 25-year-old woman was revived with two doses of Narcan at 9:29 p.m. after reportedly overdosing on heroin at a Vine Street residence.

June 21 – A male walking down North State Road with a shotgun in his hands at 4:56 p.m., reportedly intending to handover the weapon to the sheriff’s office, was given a ride by an officer.

Montville Township police
June 6 – A taupe-colored car hit a guard rail on I-71. The driver was injured and the car was towed.

June 5 – Two vehicles stopped on Wooster Pike Road to remove a snapping turtle from the road. The turtle was removed without incident.

June 5 – Someone was stopped for tinted windows and marked lanes on I-71. They were allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. Police issued the driver a warning and seized the marijuana and marijuana pipes.

June 4 – Someone reported a suspicious couple getting out of a blue Chevrolet on Turnberry Drive and looking at houses. Contact was made with the female, who stated she was at her father’s house. Police reported nothing suspicious.

June 4 – Police recieved a noise complaint from Cobblestone and Fox Meadows residents about loud music coming from a Wooster Pike Road residence at 12:19 a.m. Police discovered a party with a band, but the band was finished playing upon arrival. They were advised to keep the noise down for the remainder of the evening.

June 3 – A Poe Road business called police regarding a car parked in their lot that shouldn’t be there. It was an elderly lady who parked her car in the lot to attend a graduation party. Police spoke with the lady and the caller and everything checked OK.

June 3 – A loose female pitbull with a blue collar was reported on River Styx Road. Police were unable to locate the dog, however a witness said the dog ran in the woods between Lake Ridge and Turnberry.

June 3 – A bag of uncapped hypodermic needles was reportedly found by a street cleaning crew on Sharon Copley Road. Police disposed of the needles.

June 3 – Someone reported a garbage truck was speeding on Country Club Drive at 9:15 a.m.

June 2 – Police assisted a motorcyclist who lost his wallet on Medina Road. It was recovered by another motorist and was being taken to the Medina Police Department.

Medina County Sheriff
June 14 — A threatening voice mail was reported at the Medina County Courthouse at 3:56 p.m. It was believed to have come from a 48-year-old Spencer man.

June 9 — A black Chevy reportedly pulled up to a mailbox at a Port Center Drive business in Sharon Township and reportedly attempted to steal mail from the locked mailbox.

June 9 — Someone overnight threw pieces of cinderblock, breaking the windshield of a Buckeye Local School bus parked in the lot on the district campus on Columbia Road in York Township.

June 9 — A Medina Road business in Sharon Township was entered and items were taken overnight, including $300 in cash, a 50-inch TV and copper tubing.

June 6 — A grandparent on Fixler Road in Sharon Township who has full custody of their grandson reported the child missing. The child was permitted to go with his father the day before, but he was not returned. Gary Smith, 36, was charged with interference with custody and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

June 5 — During a traffic stop on the Litchfield Circle for display of plates at 4:18 p.m., three joints and green vegetable material were allegedly found in the vehicle. Deonna Newsome, 21, of Medina, was cited for drug abuse and possession of paraphernalia.

June 4 — A resident was reported missing at the Medina County Home on Wedgewood Road in Lafayette Township.
