John H. Holcomb, 93, passed away Nov. 8, 2016. John was born in Medina on Aug. 3, 1923 to the late Harry and Estella (Waltman) Holcomb. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired as a machinist from General Motors. John enjoyed traveling and visited nearly every state. He supported the Indians and when he was younger he enjoyed working in his yard. John’s passion was working with wood and he became an accomplished woodworker.

John is survived by his loving daughters, Sherry (Larry) Humberson and Jennifer (Doug) Affolter; grandchildren, Kenny, Stephanie, William Jr. and Christopher; great-grandchildren Anna, Kyle and Luke; and sister, Stella Morbelli.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene (Mihalik); his second wife, Virginia (Nelson); his son, William Holcomb; and eight siblings.
