May 17 – Police responded to a drugs complaint at a North Huntington Street address at 1:24 p.m. and arrested Robert D. Bass, 39, of West Union Street, for drug trafficking, a felony.
Medina Police
May 23 – Medication was reported stolen from a Gayer Drive residence at 10:40 a.m. The offense, theft of a dangerous drug, is a felony. A report was taken.
May 22 – Police were called after threats were allegedly made to a juvenile during an argument among families at a Westland Drive address at 8:02 p.m.
May 22 – Police were called to a Willow Bend Drive address at 6:05 p.m. due to an unruly juvenile. An argument reportedly took place between a 16-year-old and her father over the girl being grounded for poor grades.
May 22 – A West Liberty Street resident called police at 1:16 a.m. because she thought her ex might be in the basement. The basement was cleared by police and no exes were found.
May 21 – A Wren Way resident called police to complain someone was turning her grass brown at 8:04 p.m. The woman was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
May 21 – Someone at a Weymouth Road address called police about an unknown male who flicked a cigarette into their parked vehicle at 6:59 p.m. The flicker was unable to be identified.
May 21 – A woman dropped her cell phone inside of a North Court Street business and it was picked up and taken by a male suspect. Police located the phone and arrested Johnny W. Fletcher, 23, of Harding Street, for theft.
May 21 – A Birch Hill Drive woman called police to complain her neighbor wasn’t properly disciplining her daughter’s behavior.
May 20 – Police received several complaints of subjects shooting off fireworks in the area of Millbury Drive at 8:16 p.m. An officer arrived, confiscated the fireworks and issued the subjects a verbal warning.
May 20 – Police took a report for a burglary at a Pine Tree Court address at 5:41 p.m. A lawnmower and edger were taken from a garage.
May 20 – An elderly woman was located on Dover Drive after having got lost on a walk. The woman was transported to the hospital.
May 20 – A male with developmental disabilities stopped by the police station wishing to chat at 7:01 a.m.
May 19 – Officers responded to a West Washington Street address to serve a warrant at 9:06 p.m. The warrant was served for a woman, but a Brunswick Hills man, Daniel S. Watson, 31, was also arrested for obstruction.
May 19 – A juvenile male was arrested for felony domestic violence at 9:01 a.m. A temporary protection order was placed.
May 19 – A South Court Street female called police with questions regarding somebody selling drugs to her brother.
May 19 – Police responded to a late report of a fight at a West Smith Road bar at 12:28 a.m. An officer spoke with some of the parties involved. No charges were filed.
May 18 – A male on Pleasant Valley Drive called police at 8:11 p.m. to complaint the park behind his house generates too much noise.
May 18 – Police took a report after an altercation between students at Medina High School at 10:32 a.m.
May 18 – A juvenile student at Medina High School was arrested on a warrant and taken to the juvenile detention center at 9:09 a.m.
May 17 – A burglary was reported at a Lafayette Road apartment at 1:06 a.m. An Xbox, a TV and cash were reported stolen.
May 16 – A Jackson Street resident called police after some juveniles threw a firecracker at the residence. An officer spoke with the juveniles.
May 16 – An officer responded to Highland Drive in reference to an ongoing dispute between neighbors over the property line. They were advised to call the zoning office to determine the property line.
May 16 – Police and paramedics responded to a drug overdose at a Dawn Court residence at 5:40 p.m.
Medina Township Police
May 19 – Police were called after a male reported receiving a text message calling him a name. An officer spoke with the name-caller and advised him not to have any further contact with the complainant.
May 19 – Someone on Fenn Road called police to report false accusations had been made against them. A report was taken.
May 17 – Police responded to a Pearl Road retail store at 6:03 p.m. after four females from the Cleveland area were reportedly shoplifting. Jasmine T. Clausell, 19, of Cleveland, was arrested for theft and taken to the county jail; two juveniles were arrested and taken to the juvenile detention center; and Erica F. Mosley, 19, of Shaker Heights, was issued a summons for theft and released from the scene.
May 14 – Someone at a Weymouth Road park called police to report an unruly parent at a youth baseball game at 3:56 p.m. The complainant wanted the incident documented.
Medina County Sheriff
May 16 — A fraudulent check in the amount of $1,958 using the identity of a Medina Road business in Granger Township was cashed.
May 16 — Someone was stealing cable television service at a Johnson Road residence in Wadsworth Township. A 33-year-old man is suspected.
May 15 — A 60-year-old Akron man was cited for going 39 in a 20 mph school zone on state Route 94 north of Highland schools in Granger Township at 11:34 a.m.
May 14 — A Neff Road resident in Liverpool Township reported her ex-boyfriend will not stop contacting her. The man was contacted and advised to stop.
May 6 — An underage party was reported at a Johnson Road residence in Wadsworth Township. A 20-year-old Rittman man was cited for underage consumption and a 17-year-old Wadsworth boy also faced charges.
May 5 — A back door at a Fenn Road residence in York Township was kicked in, possibly in an attempt to gain entry. Nothing appears to be missing and no one was inside when the caller arrived. A 31-year-old Medina man is suspected.
May 3 — A man was found lying in the road near Gilbert and Heather Hedge Drive in Chippewa Lake around 2 p.m. The man stirred and allegedly admitted to doing five hits of fentanyl. Folded papers and a straw were reportedly found on the 31-year-old.
May 2 — Someone tried to remove $123,000 from a home equity bank account belonging to a Taylor James Boulevard man in Sharon Township. The resident reported his bank contacted him to ask if he had authorized the transaction, which was going to be sent to London, England.
April 29 — An East Law Road residence in Liverpool Township reported an old high school classmate sent her a “disturbing” video via Facebook and was concerned for her safety.
April 29 — Three males reportedly entered a store at a Avon Lake Road address in Harrisville Township and took over $3,000 worth of clothing, including 16 black T-shirts, 17 red T-shirts, 17 pink T-shirts and 11 red, white and blue T-shirts the night before.
April 28 — A man overdosed at a Wadsworth Road gas station in Wadsworth Township around 7:45 p.m. He was taken to a hospital.
April 28 — A Lester Road resident in York Township reported a group of teenagers around 3 p.m., possibly from the high school, wearing red and green T-shirts had run through his property and had thrown rocks at windows of a cabin there as they ran by. The teens might have been from the middle or high school track team at Buckeye, but practice had ended by the time a deputy arrived.
