Man who calls police on father arrested instead
North Royalton Police
April 16 – Police responded to a domestic complaint at a Sprague Road address at 12:55 a.m. A man said his father came home drunk and was looking for a fight after he took his father’s keys. The son was found stumbling around outside down the street. The father was found coming from the house. Inside the house, three pipes were allegedly spotted and in the son’s room, glass jars of marijuana, a scale, grinders, bong and grinder were allegedly spotted. The son, Cory Payne, said he used marijuana to help with his seizures; he was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and drug abuse. He allegedly yelled obscenities and threatened to sue officers on the way to the station.

North Royalton Police
April 23 – A woman reported receiving a disturbing voice mail from a member of her quilting group at 4 a.m. that day. The message was considered suspicious and Seven Hills Police, where the caller lives, was asked to check on the caller.

April 23 – A Deer Creek Drive man reported a gun was stolen out of his locked vehicle overnight. Other items in the vehicle, which remained locked, were untouched.

April 21 – A vehicle was seen going over the center lines on the Ohio Turnpike bridge on West 130th Street at 1:03 a.m. It was stopped on Albion Road and the driver, Allison Glissman, was arrested for OVI and cited for weaving, left of center and mobile phone usage.

April 20 – Police received a complaint of a 60-year-old male that smelled like alcohol at a Royalton Road church at 12:05 p.m. during a food distribution event. Robert Pavlick was located and arrested for OVI and charged with driving while under OVI suspension.

April 18 – A man reported a Ridge Road woman took his Percocet pills and was concerned due to threats she made of suicide in the past. At the residence, an officer saw a vehicle pulling out; inside was the woman and a male driver. A vehicle search allegedly yielded a small bottle with marijuana and a few pills believed to be hydrocodone; they reportedly did not match with a valid prescription the woman had. The woman, Katherine Nacarato, was arrested for attempted drug possession and drug abuse.

April 18 – Between April 14 and April 18, someone stole an ATV from a detached garage on Drake Road.

April 18 – A vehicle was stopped in the 16000 block of West 130th Street after it was allegedly seen trying to illegally pass another northbound vehicle at 6:45 p.m. The driver, Curtis Unik, of Strongsville, was arrested for OVI. Marijuana and paraphernalia were reportedly found on his person. He was also cited for illegal passing, drug abuse and possession of paraphernalia.

April 17 – An officer noticed a suspended driver on Sprague Road; after losing it, the vehicle was seen a short time later driving over 70 mph around 2:‘15 a.m. The vehicle was stopped on East Linden Lane. The driver, Timothy Resley, allegedly admitted to drinking at a local bar. He was arrested for OVI and cited for driving under suspension, speed and wanton disregard for safety.

April 16 – A resident on Deer Creek Drive reported smelling marijuana from a neighbor’s unit at 8:20 p.m. An officer went to the residence and when resident Brandon Petri opened the door, marijuana, a grinder and two bongs could allegedly be spotted on a table. He was cited for drug abuse and possession of paraphernalia.

Strongsville Police
April 23 – A caller could see two people stealing pallets from a Prospect Road business around 2 a.m. Police would speak with management to see if they want to pursue charges.

April 23 – A female went to purchase items from a male at a Pearl Road apartment complex. The male attempted to grab the female to kiss her and allegedly touched her in an inappropriate manner.

April 22 – A male came to the police station requesting advise on how to remove his girlfriend from his house. The male stated his girlfriend has struck him in the past when she was intoxicated. He was going to get a restraining order, but was afraid his girlfriend would know what he was doing. The male was advised to contact police if the situation escalated. He was also advised to contact Berea Municipal Court for eviction.

April 22 – A caller stated there was a white Lincoln parked near a Pearl Road store. The vehicle had flat tires and the inside was a “mess.” The plates were expired. Police had previously been made aware of this vehicle. If the business wants it towed they would have to make arrangements since the vehicle was on private property.

April 22 – Four juveniles were swearing and shouting profanities outside a Royalton Road store. The group was reciting rappers and not shouting at anyone in particular. They were advised on how to behave on private property.

April 22 – There was a very large fire in a backyard on Bennington Drive. People were arguing with fire department personnel who were putting out the bonfire.

April 22 – A 33-year-old male was gone from his Wesley Drive house all day. He was incoherent when he came home around 9:30 p.m. He was transported to a hospital.
