If you want Dollar General to proceed, it is time to act
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

To the Editor:

As many citizens may not be aware, Dollar General has approached a landowner in the Village of Spencer to construct a Dollar General just east of the Ohio E-Check station on state Route 162. The zoning in the area must be changed to accommodate the building of the Dollar General store. Several meetings have been held with the Planning Commission and at the meeting on Jan. 17, the Planning Commission voted and were tied, 2-2. The zoning application was then presented to council at their regular scheduled meeting on Jan. 18.

At this time, council does not seem very receptive to the change in the zoning to allow the building of the Dollar General. General information presented to the Planning Commission is on file at the Village offices. If you are interested in having the Dollar General proceed, then now is the time for you to act. You have one voice, please make sure you are heard. If you have any questions or would like further information or a copy of the specific proposal submitted by Dollar General representatives, please feel free to contact me at 330-391-2635.
