Jan. 30 – A Boneta Road woman in Sharon Township complained someone had changed her address with the post office fraudulently and that the same person charged $1,200 on her credit card.
Montville Township Police
Jan. 31 – Someone reported a suspicious white truck with a plow on it stopping at a house being built on Deer Trail Drive. Police could not locate the vehicle.
Jan. 31 – Someone reported a vehicle ran into a fence on Wooster Pike Road. The caller reported the white, male driver left the scene by running southbound on foot. Police located the driver and citations were issued.
Jan. 31 – The driver of a white cargo van was weaving on Interstate 71 northbound and driving at a slow speed. Police advised the driver she needed to pull over and she agreed, reportedly stating she knew she was getting tired.
Jan. 29 – A vehicle was traveling slowly on River Styx Road because the driver had a broken windshield wiper and couldn’t see well. Police assisted.
Jan. 29 – A vehicle was stopped on I-71 northbound for driving under suspension. The driver and passenger were reportedly found to be in possession of cocaine. Both were arrested.
Jan. 26 – Someone reported a vehicle was stopped in the middle of Wooster Pike road with their lights on. Police patrolled the area from Sharon Copley to Good Road but could not locate the vehicle.
Jan. 24 – An ex-delivery man reportedly made harassing phone calls to a Wooster Pike resident. The resident had filed sexual harassment charges against him in the past.
Jan. 24 – Police met with a female resident of Medina City with questions about criminal damaging. Montville Police referred her to Medina police for enforcement actions.
Jan. 23 – The back door of a Antler Trail house that was under construction was reportedly pried open. Nothing was taken and there was minor structural damage to the door.
Medina Police
Feb. 13 – Police took a report of a verbal argument between a girlfriend and boyfriend at a Branch Road apartment building at 11:39 a.m.
Feb. 13 – Police checked on a male in the Public Square public bathroom when it was closed at 3:54 a.m. Everything checked secure.
Feb. 13 – Police removed a large box from the street on E. Smith Road.
Feb. 12 – Someone complained of a male slumped over the wheel of his vehicle on Sturbridge Drive. Police responded and everything checked OK.
Feb. 12 – A complainant on W. Reagan Parkway believed a bottle struck his vehicle. No damage was observed.
Feb. 12 – A male was reportedly changing his shirt at the intersection of W. Homestead and N. Huntington streets.
Feb. 11 – A 30-year-old man from Kentucky was driving on a closed road and was cited for driving without wearing his seat belt on W. Smith Road at 9:52 p.m.
Feb. 11 – Joseph A. Lynn, 22, of Alliance, was issued a warrant for telecommunications harassment.
Feb. 11 – Someone reported a female and two males smoking in a North Harmony Street garage. Police could not locate the individuals.
Feb. 10 – Walter Lane, 21, of Avon Lake, was arrested for criminal trespass and was cited for OVI and for driving under suspension at a W. Smith Road address at 11:35.
Feb. 10 – A Woodland Drive homeowner’s son reportedly refused to leave the residence. Police arrived and the son agreed to leave.
Feb. 10 – The passenger-side window of a vehicle on Westland Drive was found to be broken out at 8 a.m. An American Express card was reportedly stolen.
Medina County Sheriff
Feb. 8 – Theresa Arnold, 34, of Lodi, was arrested for OVI during a traffic stop on Vandemark Road north of state Route 224 in Harrisville Township. She was also cited for expired registration.
Feb. 3 – A business owner reported an employee at is Norwalk Road business in York Township reportedly sold parts to a customer for cash and then took the money.
Feb. 1 – A Rice Road woman in Chatham Township complained her neighbor’s dog gets loose and goes to her property. While at the residence, a deputy saw the neighbor’s dog running around loose. The dog’s owner was cited for animals at large.
Jan. 29 – A woman reported someone knocked on her patio door than left at her Granger Road residence in Granger Township around 3 a.m. She suspected her ex-boyfriend, who lives nearby, did it.
Jan. 28 – A Lodi officer reported a 17-year-old boy was at the police station wishing to confess to a theft in September she believed occurred in the sheriff’s office jurisdiction.
Jan. 26 – A total of 18 propane tanks were taken from a Ridge Road business in Granger Township overnight. Extra patrols were requested in the area.
Wadsworth Police Department
Feb. 8 – A resident from the 500 block of Seville Road reported that he is a victim of telecommunications harassment. The incident is under investigation.
Feb. 8 – A resident from the 500 block of High Street contacted the police department to report a theft of medication. The incident is under investigation.
Feb. 8 – A Medina County resident notified the police department that his credit card information had been compromised and that the suspect tried to use his credit card information to make a purchase at a retail store in Wadsworth. An investigation is pending.
Feb. 8 – The police department received a report about a student’s phone being damaged while at school. The matter is being investigated.
Feb. 7 – Members of the Wadsworth Police Department assisted the Medina County Drug Task Force with a drug investigation. Following the investigation Monty Slay, 41, of Mogadore and Tricia Hall, 39, of Mogadore were arrested and each charged with drug trafficking.
Feb. 7 – Police officers took a report about a theft at a Williams Reserve Boulevard business. The incident is under investigation.
Feb. 7 – The police department received a report about a situation of menacing at a business on Ambassador Drive.
Feb. 7 – Police officers responded to the parking lot of a Smokerise Drive retail store at approximately 4:35 p.m. in reference to a report of a person soliciting money from customers. Police officers located the individual, identified as Allen Combes, 89, of Norton. Officers said Combes had been previously advised not to be on the property. He was issued a summons for criminal trespass.
Feb. 7 – Police officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Main Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. in reference to a domestic violence incident. After an investigation a 40-year-old male who lived at the residence was arrested and charged with domestic violence, a first degree misdemeanor.
Feb. 7 – A resident from the 1200 block of High Street contacted the police department to report an incident of telecommunications harassment.
Feb. 6 – Police officers and EMS personnel responded to a residence in the 300 block of Elm Street at approximately 1 a.m. in reference to a report of a resident who overdosed. The incident is under investigation.
