A piece of agricultural history is returning to the fairgrounds – actually more like over 50 pieces.

Medina Antique Power Association will be hosting a display of more than 50 tractors, balers and other farm equipment from days gone by. The machines will be on display near the northwest corner of the fairgrounds.

The highlight of this year’s show, according to association member Paul Kovalik, will be demonstrations on an antique thrashing machine from the 1920s.

“It’s history and it gives folks a glimpse at how farmers harvested their grain back in the early days,” Kovalik said. “Now with combines and other technology, work that used to take hours or days can be done in minutes.”

Thrashing demonstrations will take place multiple times a day, weather permitting.
