ROTA, SPAIN – Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Rodney Good, from Medina, (front) and Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Cody Wayne Ellefson, from Luverne, Minnesota, haul a mooring line aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) June 14, 2017 as the ship departs Naval Station Rota, Spain. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
