Man doubles up on DOC charges in one night
Medina Police
July 15 – Police responded to a dispute between neighbors at a Lafayette Road address at 7:23 p.m. after threats were allegedly made. James A. Lemons, 62, of Lafayette Road, and a juvenile male were both arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. Michelle R. Rick, 58, also of Lafayette Road, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct. Earlier in the evening, police reportedly responded a neighbor dispute at the same address and Lemons was cited for disorderly conduct at 6:41 p.m.

Medina Police
July 15 – Police and paramedics responded to a North Vine Street address at 11:16 p.m. in reference to a female with a laceration to her head.

July 15 – Police responded to a fireworks complaint on Oak Street at 11:09 p.m. and advised those discharging to stop.

July 14 – Police responded to a Guilford Boulevard address to arrest Joseph T. Nagy, 18, on a warrant. In the process, Nagy was cited for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

July 13 – Police were called to conduct a welfare check on a male at a North Court Street business at 9:38 p.m. Neil R. Wiley, 29, of North Huntington Street, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.

July 11 – An intoxicated man was reportedly refusing to leave a West Smith Road business at 10:14 p.m. Allen R. Senz, 22, of Seville, was arrested for trespassing.

Montville Township Police
June 30 – Someone reported a man walking in the median of Medina Road talking to himself and a smoking a blunt at 4:27 p.m. Police checked the area but the man was gone on arrival.

June 30 – Someone reported people were ringing doorbells on Rustic Hills Drive and then running off. Police could not locate anyone.

June 28 – A Maplewood Farms Drive man arrived at the Montville Police Department to file a report for telecommunications harassment after his ex-wife sent him a threatening text message.

June 27 – Police stopped Ronald Nixon, 56, for following too close, littering and driving under suspension. He was found to have an active warrant out of Rittman. Police issued him a warning for the traffic violations and arrested him for the warrant.

June 26 – Police assisted a River Styx Road homeowner with getting an injured bird into a box so it could be taken to the raptor center.

June 24 – Police were dispatched to a Silverstone Lane residence for a domestic call where the female allegedly had a knife and was very intoxicated. Police were unable to develop probable cause to arrest either party for the alleged violations, largely due to the inability of either party to accurately describe the sequence of events. Both parties were impaired by alcohol and the female reportedly continually shouted in frustration. She was warned for shouting but continued to do so, and was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.

June 23 – Erin Gavorcik, 41, of Bolivar, was stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road on Coon Club Road, and was allegedly found to be in possession of two marijuana pipes. She was issued a warning for the traffic violation and was cited for the pipes.

June 22 – Police were called after someone found a flyer left on their windshield the day before on E. Normandy Park Drive. The complainant was concerned due to a recent rumor on Facebook saying papers on left on windshields to kidnap women for human trafficking. Police advised a pet care company had been handing out flyers and that they would be told to stop.

June 21 – Management from a Medina Road business terminated an employee and she became disorderly when she came to pick up her check. Upon arrival police were advised she was outside sitting in her vehicle. The female reportedly said she just wanted her paycheck, however police advised she could be charged with disorderly conduct or criminal trespass if she continued with her behavior. She agreed to leave and take the issue up with corporate.

Medina Township Police
July 9 – A Fenn Road resident called police to report males coming onto his property to fish. When police confronted the males, they said they received permission from the neighbor who shares the pond. The neighbor was contacted and said he didn’t give permission either. The fishermen were asked to leave and no charges were sought.
