The Special Olympics of Medina County in conjunction with Medina Creative Therapy Ranch sent nine riders to Cincinnati to compete in the State of Ohio Special Olympics Equestrian Games. Medina Creative Therapy Ranch riders came home with four gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals. This was the third year the team competed. The athletes who competed at the state level include: Lauren Bonus, Julia Cooney, Lucas Cooper, Jason Fetsko, Evan Janda, Emma Kandelwahl, Katie Patterson, Tony Romito, and Lea Wilson. Team coaches that attended are Sharon Biggins, Laura Carson, Christina Newell, and Shelly Schafer. The team did an amazing job and Medina Creative Therapy Ranch is proud of their team’s accomplishments.
