Free Diabetes 101 Course held at Akron, Lodi hospitals
Medina Health Ministry is holding a free Diabetes 101 Course at Akron General/ Lodi Hospital.
Denise Kaiser, certified diabetic educator, will present the basics of Diabetes. Topics include: what is diabetes, meal planning, medications, monitoring blood sugar and problem solving and physical activity.
This five-week course will begin on Tuesday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the hospital board room, then continue every Tuesday evening through May. Those who complete the course will receive a free gift compliments of Healthy Medina.
