Drivers need to begin abiding by the driving laws
To the Editor:
The intersection of Poe Road and state Route 57 is dangerous. Drivers don’t stop when they are driving east or west on Poe Road. Years ago, a semi ended up driving into a house (where the Montville jail building is now). I don’t want a semi truck going into anyone’s building in the future. Drivers should also be obeying the laws. A new law, you need your lights on when driving with windshield wipers, isn’t followed. On Lafeyette Road east of the fairgrounds, after drivers cross the railroad tracks, they don’t drop down to the slower speed limit of 25 mph. Police should be giving speeding tickets to those who continue to drive over 40 mph.
