Scott Mooney, 43, passed away June 17, 2017 at his home in Akron. He was born on Nov. 2, 1973 in Medina. Scott attended Cloverleaf High School but recently received his GED and Recovery Coach Certification, which he was so proud of. He worked at Pilot Plastic in Cuyahoga Falls for the past two years.

Scott will be dearly missed by his sons, Zack and Braylon; fiancée, Nikki Boyes; mother, Sheila (Mike) Tecco of Lodi; father, John (Kaylee) Mooney of Milton, Fla.; brother, John Mooney of Portage Lakes; special nieces, Lindsey and Shelby Mooney; step-brothers, Mikey (Mindy) Tecco Jr. and Jeff (Karisa) Tecco both of Medina; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Dave and Bettie Yergin.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal and Corbett Goney-James and Madeline Mooney; special sister-in-law, Sandy Mooney; and special uncles, Michael and Tommy Goney.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Fifth Third Bank for his 3-year-old son, Braylon.
