Drug task force arrests multiple-offender for trafficking
Jacob Greene, from Cleveland, charged with a second degree felony count
MEDINA TOWNSHIP – On Aug. 24, uniformed patrol officers from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office and Montville Police Department – who are assigned to the Medina County Drug Task Force – encountered several people at a local business in Medina Township.

During their conversation with the group, the officers learned that a 24-year-old female was planning to meet with her heroin supplier. The officers contacted agents from the drug task force and informed them of the information they had obtained.

The agents established surveillance on the female. She was followed to the city of Brunswick to a Center Road business west of Interstate 71.

The agents saw the female meet with two men in the parking lot of the business. An exchange took place between the female and one of the men. The agents were able to stop the female shortly after she separated from the men. She was found to be in possession of several grams of heroin.

The sheriff’s deputy and Montville officer, assisted by the Brunswick Division of Police, conducted a traffic stop on the car that the two men occupied.

The male passenger, 42-year-old Jacob Greene, from Cleveland, was found to be in possession of several additional grams of heroin.

Testing done by the agents revealed that the substance was actually Fentanyl.

Jacob Greene was arrested and charged with a second degree felony count of trafficking in Fentanyl. The male driver and female were both released pending further investigation and a review of the case by Medina County Prosecutor S. Forrest Thompson. Greene was taken to the Medina County Jail pending his arraignment in Medina Municipal Court.

Jacob Greene has an extensive criminal record which includes several arrests for both drug possession and drug trafficking offenses.
