The University of Akron
The following area students received degrees from The University of Akron during graduation exercises: Matthew Crowder and Brittany Cuevas, of Granger; and Bryce Yamat, Kristine Yaremko, Shelby Hoge, David Myatt, Roxanne Vernyuk, Peter Gross and Kyle Vozar, all of Hinckley.
In addition, Dominic Apisa, of Sharon, earned a GPA of 3.786 during the spring semester of 2017, which qualified him for the dean’s list. Apisa is a 2016 Highland honors graduate.
Ohio University
More than 4,300 students qualified for the spring semester 2017 dean’s list at Ohio University’s Athens campus. The following local students were on the dean’s list:
Cassandra Jean Comer, Julie Elizabeth Katona, Rachael Shicora May, Marielle Adysen Miethke, Gianna M Montague, Macie Elizabeth Petrich, Madeline Patricia Petrich, Heidi Rae Schwarz and Madison Corinne Shearer, of Hinckley.
