Three sent to hospital following Aug. 25 crash
Two vehicles towed from the scene
GRANGER – A late evening crash Aug. 25 on state Route 94 just south of Remsen Road involving three vehicles sent three people to the hospital.

According to Trooper Tyler Graber of the Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 9:55 p.m. William Oliver, 59, of Medina, was southbound on SR 94 in a 1970 Chevelle, when he went left of center and struck a 2016 northbound Ford Explorer, driven by David Smallwood, 67, of Valley City. On impact, the Chevelle spun out, went into a ditch and struck a sign. Debris from the impact struck a northbound 2013 Honda Pilot, driven by Nick Mihacevich, 46, of Brunswick.

Oliver was transported to Akron General Medical Center by Sharon Fire and Rescue, where he was last reported in stable condition.

Smallwood, who was taken to Cleveland Clinic in Brunswick by Granger Fire and Rescue, was treated and released the next morning. His passenger, Barbara Smallwood, who was transported to the same facility by Bath Fire and Rescue, was treated and released. Three minors in the Ford Explorer had no reported injuries.

The Chevelle and Ford Explorer were severely damaged and both vehicles had to be towed. The Honda sustained minor damage. All involved, drivers and passengers, were wearing seat belts, the trooper said. The crash is under investigation.
