Feb. 11 – A deer had its antlers stuck in a fence on a Barbara Drive property. Neighbors were able to cut the deer free prior to an officer’s arrival. There was still a small section of antlers on the fence.

Feb. 12 – A person reported a gold El Camino without hubcaps was weaving on Pearl Road and almost hit another car near Whitney Road. The El Camino turned right on Whitney. An officer found the unoccupied vehicle in an apartment complex lot.
Feb. 12 – A telephone pole and wire were on the ground on Hunt Road. The fire department requested the police department block the road. CEI was on the scene.
Feb. 12 – A landlord complained that tenants took a washer from a Glen Cairn Way rental property when they moved. The complainant stated there was a history of issues with the tenants.
Feb. 12 – A caller stated there was an occupied van by garages in a Pearl Road lot. All three occupants admitted to smoking marijuana. The driver’s father was going to pick them up and drive them to their homes.
Feb. 12 – White smoke appeared to be coming from a garage at Boston and Prospect roads. The smoke was coming from a dryer vent that was close to the front of the garage.
Feb. 12 – A female stated she has been harassed by her brothers via text since their mother passed away three weeks ago. Two sisters removed property from the mother’s house and two brothers are unhappy about the situation.
Feb. 11 – A caller stated he saw someone attempting to break into cars and houses on Trenton Avenue. Once the subject saw the complainant he got into a car and drove westbound on Trenton. An officer found the vehicle’s fresh tracks in a Hunt Road driveway. The subject admitted to being in his vehicle at the time of the call. He stated he was going to the store to get medicine for his daughter and was never on Trenton.
Feb. 11 – A Westminster Drive resident complained there were a number of juveniles in his front yard, making noise and leaving “stuff.” The complainant yelled at the kids and they scattered.
Feb. 11 – A cable line was severed at a Hunt Road residence. The female complainant has had other things happen recently. She thought her ex-boyfriend could be the culprit. Special attention was placed on the home.
Feb. 11 – A male was taking theft protection devices off electronic items at a Pearl Road store. Loss prevention personnel attempted to stop the subject at the grocery entrance. The male ran toward his vehicle, which was stopped shortly thereafter. An officer returned the male to the police station.
Feb. 11 – A Jonathan Drive house was paint balled. Special attention was placed on the home.
Feb. 10 – A female stated she picked up her 10-year-old son from her ex and the boy had marks on his body.
Feb. 10 – A parent complained to police and the middle school about an Internet video. The principal stated the matter was addressed and the video was taken down. Officers met with the student and his parents and determined this was not a criminal matter.
Feb. 10 – Two males were holding a sign and asking for money at the westbound state Route 82 ramp from southbound I-71. They also had a service dog with them. An officer gave the duo and their dog a ride to the mall where they would wait for a friend to get them.
Feb. 9 – A male caller was upset because an Uber driver yelled at him because he was trying to order food at a fast food restaurant. The Uber driver left him at the restaurant. The complainant was advised that this was not a police matter and that he should contact Uber.
Feb. 9 – A caller advised there was a Strongsville school bus swerving on Prospect Road. An officer followed the bus to the high school and it was traveling fine.
Feb. 8 – A maroon Pontiac hit a fire hydrant on Drake Road. The car was towed, Cleveland Water was advised of the hydrant damage and RTA was advised regarding a sign that needed to be replaced.
Feb. 8 – A female advised that her daughter’s teacher was being “psychologically abusive” and making slanderous comments about the juvenile. An officer advised the complainant that this was not a police matter and she needed to contact the principal or superintendent.
Feb. 8 – A Sunwood Oval resident stated a 91-year-old male neighbor was throwing tar-like material into her yard. An officer spoke with both parties.
Feb. 8 – A female reported her son was punched and thrown to the ground while on his way to school. Officials at the school told the complainant she could only obtain a copy of the video if a police officer obtained it for her. An officer would follow up with the school.
Feb. 8 – A female became upset because she was not allowed to speak with her daughter at an elementary school after receiving a message that her daughter was in trouble. The complainant stated she called the school four times. Each time the principal answered the phone, the complainant hung up. The mother stated she was being harassed by school officials and they were holding her daughter hostage. An officer arranged for the mother to speak with her daughter the next time she called. The mother was going to the school to pick up her daughter.
Feb. 8 – An employee of an assisted living facility stated that a male patient sexually assaulted a female and assaulted another male with a wheelchair. Both males agreed the alleged assault with a wheelchair was accidental.
