Woman arrested after found camping in cemetery

Medina County Sheriff

Nov. 15 — A deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of a Westfield Road cemetery at 12:53 a.m. A male and female were reportedly camped out there. It was found the male had a protection order against the female, Melanie Kravec, 43, of Parma, and she was arrested for violating a protection order. The male, Edward Miller, 43, of Parma, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a pipe was allegedly found on him.

Lodi Police

Dec. 3 — An officer conducted a traffic stop on Wooster Street for a traffic infraction at 10:38 p.m. The department’s K-9 was summoned and alerted on the car. White powder and paraphernalia was allegedly found inside the vehicle. This investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.

Nov. 29 — An officer conducted a traffic stop on Medina Street for a traffic infraction at 11:30 p.m., which resulted in marijuana allegedly being located inside the vehicle. The driver, Jeffrey Herb, 23, of Sullivan was charged with drug abuse, and possession of paraphernalia.

Nov. 29 — Officers responded to a N. Broadway Street address on a reported protection order violation involving the complainant’s ex-husband at 12:33 a.m. This case has been forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

Medina County Sheriff

Nov. 27 — A driver was stopped for speeding on state Route 18 west of State Road in Granger Township at 1:24 a.m. Jeffrey Ruble, 35, of Medina Township, was arrested for OVI and cited for speed, marked lanes and OVI refusal.

Nov. 26 — A shoplifting report was taken at a Avon Lake Road business in Harrisville Township.

Nov. 26 — A suspicious vehicle was seen by some gas pumps at an Avon Lake Road business in Harrisville Township at 9:39 p.m. Brijanee Reed, 20, of Cleveland, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 25 — An Avon Lake Road female in Harrisville Township reported she has a prescription for Xanax that was supposed to contain 60 pills, but when she got home, there were only 30 in the bottle.

Nov. 22 — Deputies responded to a suspicious person call at a Lodi Road address in Harrisville Township. Two males were reportedly spotted leaving a trailer at the back of the property. One of the men, Travis Murphy, 24, of Lodi, reportedly attempted to discard a baggie of powder believed to be drugs in sight of a deputy. He was arrested for drug possession, and a Xanax pill was also allegedly found on him during booking at the county jail.

Nov. 20 — A dad reported his 17-year-old daughter missing after she had not returned home from work several hours after getting off work at an Avon Lake Road business.

Nov. 15 — A wallet with cash and credit cards inside was taken from an unlocked vehicle overnight on Richman Road in Chatham Township.

Nov. 14 — A woman reported her boyfriend assaulted her in the parking lot of an Avon Lake Road business in Harrisville Township and then took her vehicle, not returning it until the next day. The report was forwarded to the Wadsworth Prosecutor.

Nov. 14 — A mother and father at a Seville Road address in Westfield Township reported their son behaved very aggressively towards the mother over the phone. Joseph Lego. 32, was arrested and charged with threatening domestic violence.

Nov. 13 — Someone kicked in the front door of a Boston Road residence in Liverpool Township. No one was found inside, but a laptop computer was taken from the dining room.

Nov. 10 — Deputies responded to a dispute between a male and his adult son, who reportedly refused to leave a Valentine Farms address in Granger Township.

Nov. 10 — A driver was stopped for a burnt-out taillight on state Route 224 near Leroy Road in Westfield Township around 9 p.m. Jerry Neff, 49, of Steubenville, was arrested for OVI and charged with driving under suspension.

Nov. 9 — A drug overdose was reported at a Remsen Road address in Granger Township. A rolled-up dollar bill was reportedly found at the scene.

Nov. 9 — A Richman Road woman in Litchfield Township reported a male threatened to shoot both her and her dog. Anthony Groth, 27, of Litchfield, was arrested for menacing during a traffic stop a few miles away from the woman’s residence.

Nov. 8 — Trespassers in a vehicle were reported in the area of Ash rive in Westfield Township around 8:30 p.m. Two were found in the back seat, and one, Ben Biasella, 24, of Cuyahoga Falls, allegedly had a baggie of marijuana, and rolling papers. He was also cited for trespassing along with Brittany Hartung, 23, of Akron.

Nov. 8 — A handgun and crossbow were reportedly taken from a Neff Road residence in Liverpool Township between noon and 6 p.m. that day.

Nov. 8 — A vehicle was stopped on Interstate 76 eastbound at state Route 57 in Wadsworth Township at 11 a.m. for no front plate and burnt-out brake light. The driver, Connor Herbert, 20, of Middletown, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after marijuana in a bottle, grinder and pipe were allegedly found in the vehicle.

Wadsworth Police

Dec. 1 – Police officers responded to a hotel on Park Center Drive shortly before 1 a.m. after personnel from the front desk and hotel patrons complained about a disorderly, intoxicated man. Police officers found the suspect and reported the man was in possession of a bottle of liquor he had allegedly stolen from a local restaurant earlier that evening. The hotel requested the man, Rob Howard, 25, of Napoleon, be removed and not permitted to return. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and theft.

Nov. 30 – Police officers received a report about a vehicle that was broken into while it was parked in the 100 block of Deepwood Drive. Items were stolen from inside of the vehicle and the incident is under investigation.

Nov. 30 – A resident from the 400 block of Rosalind Avenue reported that damage was done to his storm door. No entry was gained into the man’s residence and it is unknown how the damage was caused.

Nov. 29 – Police officers responded to a business on Reimer Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. in reference to a report of an employee theft. A report was taken and it will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Medina Police

Dec. 5 – The high school resource police officer and administrators dealt with an issue involving a student reportedly bringing a BB gun to school. No students were in danger at any time, according to the school in an automated phone call to district parents.

Dec. 5 – Police received a report of suspicious door-to-door solicitation in the area of Wadsworth Road at 9:06 a.m.

Dec. 5 – A 23-year-old man was stopped for one headlight while driving on West Washington Street at 2:06 a.m. He was cited for possession of marijuana and warned about the headlight.
