S.C. 'Red' Kiner
S.C. “Red” Kiner, 76, passed away Jan. 28, 2017. He was born in Webster Springs, W.Va., on Dec. 30, 1940, to the late Ester and Mae (Carpenter) Kiner.
Red honorably served in the U.S. Navy.
After his service, he moved to Florida, where he met his wife, Ruth. Red and Ruth moved back to Ohio in 1963.
He retired from Ford Motor Company after working as a machinist for 31 years. After retirement, Red enjoyed playing golf with his best buddies.
He always looked forward to his winter trip to Florida to visit friends. Red was a member of the Mason Lodge of Medina and the American Legion of Wellington. Red will always be remembered as a positive person that enjoyed life to the fullest.
Red is survived by his brothers, Larry (Evelyn) Kiner, Terry (Clorse) Kiner and Charlie (Brenda) McCourt; sisters, Chloe (Billy Joe) Perrine, Doris (Herb) Saffle and Carolyn (Roy) Richardson; six nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and niece, Joyce Ann Perrine.
