PORTLAND - Tonia Nadzo Medd, 90, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2025. She was born on Oct. 22, 1934, in New York City, NY, to the late Guido and Marian Nadzo.

Tonia was a fiercely independent woman. She was also true to herself while at the same time a beacon of strength for her family, friends and community.

Tonia’s legacy of resilience, authenticity and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten, always cherished.

A Celebration of Tonia’s life will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland, 1024 Broadway.

Family and friends will begin sharing memories at 3:30 p.m.
