Well-known pianist, composer and leader of the band Louis & The Lynx, Dr Louis Nurse has come up with the perfect Christmas gift for music fans everywhere—his latest CD compilations of strictly original music for healing and meditation are now available.
After several weeks in the studio, the stalwart musician recently completed the solo piano project, culminating in the release of three albums respectively titled The Journey, Empowerment and Reflections.
As a musician whose career spans more than 40 years on the circuit, Dr Nurse has earned accolades with his band for an expansive repertoire of covers and originals played for dancing and listening pleasure—from classics to contemporary as well as his own brand of soca-jazz.
But the compositions he created for his three latest CDs should strike the listener as being decidedly different this time round, given their more mellow and contemplative sounds.
“Nowadays daily life and living seem to be characterised by so much hustle and noise that I was compelled to create something that would help soothe our spirits,” said Nurse, still basking in the positive reviews received for Rejuvenation and Renaissance— two concerts he hosted earlier this year in June and October.
“I got a deep sense of joy and peace from producing this music, which is meant to enrich and uplift our inner selves, no matter what age or stage of life you might be at.”
Altogether the albums feature some 30-plus tracks, each with a title that fittingly aligns with the myriad moods evoked by Dr Nurse on his piano. Album openers Humility and Angel’s Thoughts, and tracks like Happiness, Light, and Maria’s Theme are certain to capture the tastes of a listenership unconstrained by blind loyalties to what’s trending, but instead seeks out what is fresh, unique and entertaining.
