Stratoblasters members Matt Tapp (from left), Jimmy Wallace and Jerry Don Branch performed at the annual Bedford Blues and BBQ Fest on Sunday. The musical lineup for the three-day event in Bedford included Grammy winner Boz Scaggs and 16 blues, jazz and Southern rock acts. The Bedford Blues Fest has been around since the 1990s; the barbecue portion was added in 2009.

John Shirey of Wylie chowed down on a chopped beef sandwich at the Bedford Blues and BBQ Fest on Sunday. The barbecue competitions over the holiday weekend included Kansas City BBQ, Steak Cookoff Association and International Barbeque Cookers Association events. The People’s Choice Competition, Battle of the BBQ, and a Sausage Showdown included tastings.
