1 Dallas Symphony Orchestra β€” Three cheers for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. As of Jan. 13, all patrons must submit a vaccination card or a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of a performance that a patron is planning to attend.

Thank you, DSO, for doing your part to help contain the latest outbreak of COVID-19. Hopefully other organizations will follow suit.

2 Ethiopian Christmas β€” Every year on Jan. 6, Ethiopia host a national holiday called Gena. Last week we celebrated after fasting for more than 40 days. It’s a beautiful tradition and brings the whole family together. Being separated from our home country, we feel it brings back the feelings of community and love.

Usually during Gena we cook different stews and curries and grill meat. It is truly an unforgettable experience and others should learn more about it. Melkam Gena!

3Dallas Morning News carrier LaDarius Henderson β€” We have subscribed to and enjoyed The Dallas Morning News for as long as I can remember. We have had many different carriers over the years, all very nice, but never has one demonstrated the lost art of taking pride in performing his job as well as he possibly can, as cheerfully as he possibly can, as this fine young man has done for us for the last year or two.

LaDarius Henderson has gone out of his way to deliver our newspaper not only as early as possible and as consistently as possible, but to accommodate our needs, he has porched our paper every morning. He will be a tough act to follow now that we have moved to another part of the city.

LaDarius is a fine public face for The Dallas Morning News. You would do well to invite him to help train your carriers all over the city. He is exceptional!

Thanks, LaDarius!
