Students enjoy lemonade with a purpose
Granger Elementary students had the chance to “purchase” a cup of lemonade on Feb. 17 by donating a canned good item to benefit the food pantry at Stony Hill Church. This was a wonderful way to help needy families in the community. The lemonade stand was the culminating activity for the “One District, One Book” program where all Highland elementary students read the same book for one month. A special thanks is extended to The Highland Foundation for allowing students the opportunity to again participate in this reading initiative. Pictured at the lemonade stand are Granger third-graders from left Isaac Prediy, Jacob Honroth, Gage Skillicorn, Elizabeth Coleman and Alyssa Meola.
