COPPELL

Airport noise to continue until February

Coppell residents should expect a continued increase in air traffic and noise as DFW International Airport runway 17C/35C remains closed for rehabilitation. The runway rehabilitation project included a partial closure from late May to early August and a full closure that began in August.

The airport initially projected that the runway would reopen in mid-November, but because of weather and unforeseen site conditions, the closure has been extended.

The projected date the runway will reopen is in February, based on weather.

While the runway will be open during the day, it will continue to close nightly until all of the construction has been completed. For more information, visit dfwairport.com/aircraftnoise or call 972-973- 5573.
