AUCTIONS
In major art world news, Rabbit, a 3-foot-tall stainless steel sculpture by Jeff Koons has sold for $91 million at Christie’s New York to become the most expensive work by a living artist ever to sell at auction.

Koons bested a painting by David Hockney that sold last fall for $90.3 million. Of course, the all-time record sum ever paid for a single artwork by an artist living or dead remains $450.3 million, paid in 2017 for Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi.
