Honors at the Leave No One Behind gala

The New England Center and Home for Veterans held its 14th Leave No One Behind Gala on Nov. 2. More than 600 guests gathered at the Seaport World Trade Center for the soiree, which was emceed by NECN anchor Mike Nikitas. Among those in attendance were Andrew McCawley, president and CEO of the New England Center and Home for Veterans; Giselle Sterling, Boston’s Commissioner of Veterans’ Affairs; Medal of Honor recipient Ryan Pitts; Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, whowas honored with the Brian A. Brooks Award for Distinguished Service to Veterans, and veteran Tobi Makinde, whoreceived the Battlefield Citation Award.
