Patriots coach Bill Belichick used the team’s bye week to raise $200,000 for the foundation that bears his name. Belichick and girlfriend Linda Holliday, who’s the executive director of the Bill Belichick Foundation, hosted his annual Hall of Fame Huddle at the Seaport World Trade Center. Guests included ESPN’s Chris Berman, former Pats lineman and three-time Super Bowl champ Matt Light, 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak, Jerod and Chantel Mayo, various other Pats players and coaches past and present, and Belichick’s brood Amanda, Stephen, and Brian Belichick. Auction items included an original painting by artist Giovanni DeCunto, and a trip to New York and tickets to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’’ and “Saturday Night Live.’’ The Bill Belichick Foundation provides coaching, mentorship, and financial support to athletes, communities, and organizations, with a focus on football and lacrosse.
